Will your capstone include constructing or purchasing explanatory props such as architectural models or other?

There is nothing that I need to purchase for my capstone. My end product is going to be me going out to different schools and afterschool programs to teach a meditation class, so I’ll have pictures from those events.

How will you present poster material (an easel, stand)?

I will probably have a stand to hold up my poster or have it hanging in the background, and I am debating on how I would like to present the pictures of my event. I think I will either make some type of slide show on Microsoft PowerPoint or have them actually printed out and laid out on a table, or in some kind of album.

Will you be fabricating a model or a 3d prototype?

My capstone doesn’t have a tangible end product so I won’t have any kind of model or 3D prototype. If it counts, my tangible item will be the pictures of the meditation classes I will be teaching. 

What is appropriate dress? A nurse outfit, a lab coat, a suit?

My capstone is about meditation so it’s laid back, but I don’t think anything like that would be appropriate dress for a presentation. I will probably wear something nice and simple, something you would wear to a job interview. 

What are important points to present in your verbal presentation?

The main points that I want to hit are some of the ones I mentioned in my video. Explaining what meditation is, the practice of it, and its benefits are all very important. I also think it would be a good idea to talk about the problem I’m solving and talk about depression and self-harm in teenagers. I’ll include definitions of depression and explain the different types of self-harm. I would also like to give the audience a better understanding as to why people self-harm and what the purpose for them is.

Will you be presenting a brochure?

I will not be presenting a brochure, I don’t think it would be very effective for my presentation,           and I also think it would be a waste of paper. 

Will you be including presentation of the website, video, game or animation?

I plan on expanding the video I have already made, by adding more information. I also want to create a Prezi that hits the main points of my presentation. The Prezi will include the very broad points of my presentation; I just want to simply explain what I will be talking about and maybe a little information about the topic. Like I said before, I think it’s important that I talk more about the problem, so I might make another short video explaining depression and self-harm. I know the media is supposed to be informative, but I want to keep everything very brief.
